I first met John when he was a member of the Round Table in Sheffield.My immediate impressions were of a very sociable,friendly and fun loving man. When he joined Dronfield 41 club, my impressions didn’t change. He soon immersed himself in the club, and became our President in 2017.In his characteristic quiet,polite and undemonstrative way he brought a level of tranquility discipline and logic to meetings and debates.Although not originally from Dronfield Round Table “stock”, we will always remember John as “one of ours” He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered for many reasons too numerous to mention here.
