Dear John - I am so pleased that you were in our lives for 50+ years. We have Round Table and Ladies Circle to thank for our friendship and we will always be very grateful. They were such wonderful organisations. We moved many times yet you always managed to find us 🤣 so that we continued to share so many happy times together. All of those times were always great fun, often very silly but always with lots of laughter. Who else would pour a jug full of cold water over all the kids as they came up the stairs at Chelsea Road? You!! No one but you!! You were the biggest kid amongst them and we all loved you for it. You were such a generous, happy person who would share everything you had with us even to having a record on your juke box for everyone of us. Martha was over the moon when you found one for her. Everyone of the Edwards family (11 of us) shared your Party on the Green last year and you generously accommodated all of us in every nook and cranny at the Mill. It was an amazing event/weekend now firmly locked in the memory bank never to be forgotten. John, you will be missed by so many. It has always been our privilege to have known you and we will never, ever forget you. So many wonderful memories too numerous to mention.
